Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actor who became famous for the role of Buffy Summers. Her other parts include Rebecca Becky Granger, in the Telefilm Nightingales as well as the short-lived NBC show of the same title; Erica Paget as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. She was born in California and discovered her love for acting when an infant. The path she took to become an actor began with commercials, in which she starred in several commercials. In 1984, she made her debut in a screen show of the sitcom by NBC, It's Your Turn. She made her screen debut in 1986 on the romantic comedy Pretty in Pink. Her most famous feature is the blonde hairlisp and breathless voice she has. Since then she has moved on to playing secondary characters. In 1989she was awarded an award called the Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress in a Horror or Mystery Motion Picture for Flowers in the Attic.
