Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp, a Canadian actress and actor, is known for playing the lead on a number of TV series as well as her outstanding performances in films. There is a huge fanbase both on American and Canadian TV. Emily first became interested when she saw her sibling Katie performing in a film. After Emily discovered her passion of acting, she enrolled in training in acting classes and went to auditions. After some commercials, which were successful, she was quickly cast in the Canadian Kids' Horror TV series Are You scared of the Dark? In one single scene she appeared without speaking any words. Her first break came at 15 years old when she got a role on the series of the WB called Glory Days as a regular. Although the show was canceled after nine episodes Emily's performance was noticed by Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who enlisted her on his TV show Everwood. Emily can also be a dancer as well as a photographer. She was named one of Teen's top 20 actresses. Maxim's Hot 100 2014 list ranked Emily at 51.
